1. Shorten Season to 154 games - the season is too long and he doesn't like the World Series to start at the end of October. (With baseball known for records you can't shorten season but in order to get World Series to start earlier play more doubleheaders on the weekends.)
2. Elimante Four Teams - Owners say they are losing money and cities can't support team. ( I agree completely, the 4 that should go, Marlins, D-Rays, Expos, and Bluejays. The first 3 are at the bottom of attendence and lets get rid of baseball in Canada all together.)
3. Have a 10 man lineup - let pitcher bat and keep the stategy and also it would allow older productive players stay in the game. ( Players union will never get rid of DH so to get both leagues on same page that might be the only thing that works, don't think it will happen though )
4. Lower Ticket Prices - nobody goes anyway, lower the prices would get more people to the games. ( Alot of people can't afford the prices anymore, lowering them might just be the answer.)
5. Play more Saturday Day Games - Old school play baseball under the sun it will get the kids out to the park. ( I like the idea and in places like Texas and Arizona you can start the games at 5 or 6 pm.)
6. Have a longer All-Star Break - players don't have anytime to relax.( That's why the all-star game shouldn't have that much meaning. It should be a game where the players go and have fun for 3 days and then get ready for the second half. )
7. Change All-Star Game Format - instead of national vs amercan lets have the USA vs the World, classic matchup Nomar vs Pedro. ( if not for a 7-7 tie there would be know need for a change, no more ties and this game is OK, it would be fun to watch US vs World.)
8. Start Playoffs Earlier - This is a no brainer games should start at 7pm and on weekends 4pm.
9. Have a Board of Directors - Bud can still be commissoner but he needs to be held accountable. ( if you get the right man for the job you would not need a committee. How about Joe Morgan or Bob Costas.)
10. Open the Gates Earlier - let the fans get into the park early enough to watch the home team take batting practice. ( I have no problem with that one. )
